Since the release of Nokia X6 in China last May, many called the attention of HMD Global to make the device present globally.

Recently, Juho Sarvikas, HMD Global's Chief Product Officer, took to a Twitter post to announce that the device will be available in other international markets.

While there was no confirmation yet from the company, if the spotted Geekbench listing were the Nokia X6, GSMArena said it expects the handset to have a different name, 6.1 Plus. Based on the alleged benchmark, we are talking about the same phone.

Nokia X6 or the rumored 6.1 Plus will hit the global market starting July 19, as confirmed by previous reports.

Industry sources expect the Nokia 6.1 Plus to have the same hardware to its Chinese counterpart, but with a different software. The Chinese X6 variant runs Nokia's custom overlay, while the 6.1 Plus would be in pure Android.

The Nokia X6 sports a 5.8-inch FHD+ notched 19:9 screen, Snapdragon 636 chip, up to 6GB RAM, up to 64GB expandable storage, 3,060mAh Quick Charge 3.0 battery, 16MP + 5MP dual cameras with AI, 16MP selfie cam with AI, face unlock, fingerprint scanner, and pure Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box.

We're not raising your hopes up, but since Nokia signaled its comeback in the Philippines last year, we may expect the device to be also available in the local market.
