Based on the possible leaked details they obtained, the upcoming OPPO F9 will be similar with the OPPO F7 in many ways. But, it'll be a slightly better version of the F7 on paper.

In particular, it has a brand new gradient color at the glass-like material at the back. It include the sunrise red, twilight blue, and starry purple color options.

It will also sport a 6.3-inch LTPS TFT panel with 2280 x 1080 resolution screen with 450 nits of brightness and a smaller notch. It is dubbed as the "waterdrop" screen.

Inside, it could still have the trusty 64-bit Helio P60 octa-core processor with Mali-G72 MP3 found on the F7. The RAM and ROM size is at 4GB/6GB and 64GB, respectively. We are not yet sure of the 64GB storage is expandable or not.

On the battery part, it sports a slightly bigger 3,500mAh battery compared with 3,400mAh of  F7. It will sport the VOOC fast charge tech as well. OPPO stated that minutes of charge is equivalent to 2 hours of talktime.

It will now have a dual camera setup at the back as well. The F9 is said to sport a 16MP f/1.85 primary shooter paired with a 2MP sensor. The 2MP sensor could be a depth sensor for bokeh effects.

For selfies, it still has the 25MP f/2.0 camera. Most likely, it will be assisted by AI just like other OPPO phones. It should have face unlock tech too.

As expected, it also has 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, OTG, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beiduo, and dual nano SIM slots.

It will also have e-compass, light, proximity, and accelerometer sensors. We are not yet sure if it'll have a gyroscope sensor for VR.

The phone will come with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with the new Color OS 5.2 skin.

There's no word on the official price yet. We will find out on August 15 here in the Philippines.

For now, let's take this leak with a pinch of salt until anything official is announced.

What do you think guys?
