OPPO R17 with Gorilla Glass 6 and Snapdragon 670 launched

On top of the F9, OPPO revealed the R17. It's a mid-ranger equipped with "premium looking" design, specs, and features.

The OPPO R17 boasts a super stylish looking metal and glass curved design and a large 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, and OPPO F9-like waterdrop notch.

Stream blue variant

It is also first OPPO device with a Vivo-like In-Display finger scanner which can unlock the screen by just tapping the display. It is also the first with the new Gorilla Glass 6 technology by Corning.

Moreover, it is also the first smartphone in the world powered by Qualcomm's new 64-bit Snapdragon 670 octa-core processor with Adreno 615 GPU inside.

OPPO also loaded it with massive 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and 3,450mAh battery with VOOC flash charging technology.

At the back, it has a dual camera setup. It goes with a 16MP + 5MP setup. For selfies, you'll see a 25MP f/2.0 Sony IMX576 camera. Most likely, both the back and front cameras are AI-assisted. It could also come with a face unlock tech.

The phone also has 4G LTE connectivity and Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Color OS 5.2 skin on top.

The handset will come in stream blue and neon purple colors.

The phone will be launched in a flash sale on August 18.

It is listed at CNY 99,999 (PHP 775.6K). But clearly, it is a dummy price tag.
