Apple Watch Series 4, now official

Apple opened their annual event with the announcement of the fourth series of their smartwatch.

The American company said that the watch screen is over 30 percent bigger than its predecessor. This because of the new edge-to-edge curved display that complements the shape of the Apple Watch Series 4.

It now lets the users to to add contacts in the watchface for one-tap access. Apple has also redesigned the modular face providing more information from stocks, heart rate, and activity. 

Finally, the Breathe App is now on the watchface, to be guided, the user just needs to raise its waist. It has new fire, water, and vapor dynamic new watchfaces that interact with the display.

The digital crown has been reengineered and now includes haptic feedbacks. Apple Watch Series 4's speakers are 50 percent louder for phone calls, Siri, and Walkie-Talkie. The mic is also now placed on the other side to reduce the echo. 

Apple Watch Series 2018

Apple Watch Series 4 is powered by next generation S4 chip with a custom 64-bit dual-core processor. 

It also brings new health capabilities that include accelerometer and gyroscope which can detect hard falls and an electrical heart rate sensor that can take a electrocardiogram (ECG)  using the new ECG app. The latest Apple Watch can also classify if the heart is beating in a normal pattern or whether there are signs of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), a heart condition that could lead to major health complications. All these recordings are recorded on the Health app which translates in a PDF that can be shared by physicians.

Apple Watch Series for GPS edition starts at USD 399 while the GPS + Cellular edition starts at USD 499. It will be available in Gold stainless steel, Silver, and Black stainless steel variants. The Apple Watch Series 3 has a new price of USD 279.
