IFA 2018: Huawei sold 20 million units of Mate 10 and P20 series worldwide!

At the IFA 2018, Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei, boasts that the company has already sold 20 million units of the Mate 10 and P20 series worldwide.

In particular, Huawei sold 10 million units of the Mate 10 series and another 10 million units for the P20 series. The sales of the P20 series is more impressive considering that those devices are only 5 months old.

As a quick recap, the Huawei Mate 10 series the world's first smartphone with the Kirin 970 AI processor. It is also the first with a dual f/1.6 Leica shooter at the back.

On the other hand, the P20 and P20 Pro of Huawei are two of the best photography phones according to DxOMark. The P20 is currently ranked at number 3 in the world while the P20 Pro is the top camera phone right now.

Recently, Huawei also grabbed the number 2 smartphone brand in the world title in terms of units shipped/sold from Apple. It was confirmed by several trusted research firms worldwide like the IDC
CanalysStrategy Analytics, and Gartner.

In the Philippines, the Chinese tech giant has overtaken Vivo for the number 3 spot based on GfK's latest research report.

Based on Google Trends, the new Huawei Nova 3i, a mid-range smartphone with premium build and four cameras in total, is the most searched mid-range smartphone in the Philippines last month.

Samsung still holds the top spot, but their sales are down 12.7 percent based on Gartner's report.

We expect Huawei to sell more phones after the launch of the Mate 20 phones on October 12 in London.
