Apple's new Mac Mini and MacBook Air priced in the Philippines

Along with the new iPad Pro, Apple also launched the new Mac Mini and MacBook Air. Macbook Air has two models while the Mac Mini has four CPU variants.

First, the Apple Mac Mini is a smaller Mac that still packs quite a punch. The first variant of the Mac Mini starts at PHP 49,990. It starts with a 3.6GHz Intel Core i3 quad-core processor but can go up to a 3.2GHz 6-core Intel Core i7 processor that has a Turbo Boost of up to 4.6GHz. It can have up to 64GB of RAM, up to 2TB PCIe-based SSD, and an Intel UHD Graphics 630.

The other variant starts at PHP 67,990 and it can rock either a 3.0GHz 6-core Intel Core i5 with a Turbo Boost of up to 4.1GHz or a 3.2GHz Intel Core i7 6-core processor with up to 4.6GHz of Turbo Boost. It can also have up to 64GB of RAM, up to 2TB of PCIe-based SSD and an Intel UHD Graphics 630.

Both variants will have Thunderbolt 3 digital video support, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, an Ethernet port, 4 Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports and 2 USB 3 ports.

The MacBook Air has 2 models. First up is the 13-inch MacBook Air with Retina display. There are two variants of this model with one going for PHP 74,990 and the other going for PHP 84,990.

It has a 13.3-inch Retina display with a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 at 227 ppi. Both variants run a 1.6GHz dual core Intel Core i5 with a Turbo Boost of up to 3.6GHz. One variant will start at 128GB SSD storage while the other will start 256GB SSD. Both variants can go up to 1.5TB SSD. Both can have up to 16GB of LPDD3 memory running at 2133MHz. In terms of GPU, it has an Intel UHD Graphics 617 with support for Thunderbolt 3-enabled external GPUs. For battery, the MacBook Air has a 50.3Whr built-in Li-Po battery with up to 13 hours of usage.

In terms of features, it has a Touch ID sensor,720p FaceTime HD camera, 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, stereo speakers, three microphones and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

There is also a 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Air going for PHP 53,990. It has a 13.3-inch display with a native resolution of 1440 x 900. It can run up to a 2.2GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.2GHz, 8GB of LPDDR3 on-board memory, up to 512GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 6000 and a 54Whr Li-Po battery with up to 12 hours of usage.

It does not have a Touch ID sensor or support for external GPUs. Extra features include 720[ HD camera, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x Tunderbold 2 port and an SDXC card slot. It also has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, stereo speakers, dual microphones and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
