In China, Vivo announced the Y93. It is the first smartphone in the world to run with the Snapdragon 439 processor.

First is the design, the Vivo Y93 features a gradient color design and near full screen design with a waterdrop-like notch. The halo notch on the V11 looks a bit different. It has a 6.2-inch IPS screen with HD+ 1520 x 720 resolution.

Inside, it runs with the 12nm Snapdragon 439 chip. It is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz. It is paired with Adreno 505 GPU. Basically, it is the upgrade of the Snapdragon 435.

Other features

The phone also has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, microSD card expansion slot up to 256GB, and large 4,230mAh battery.

On the camera part, you will see a 13MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.4 dual camera setup with AI portrait mode. For selfies, it has an 8MP camera with AI face beauty and AR stickers.

As expected, this has the face unlock tech which can detect up 1,024 unique features on your face for higher security.

However, it has no fingerprint scanner.

The phone measures at 155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28 mm and weighs at 163.5 grams. It runs with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Funtouch OS skin and Jovi AI with Game Mode.

It is available in starry night and red colors.

Price and availability

The Vivo Y93 has a low price tag of CNY 1,500 or around PHP 11,497.

We are not yet sure if it will be available for the rest of the world.
