#MWC19: Huawei releases MateBook 14 laptop with up to Intel Core i7 8565U processor

Aside from the ambitious Mate X foldable phone, Huawei announced two new laptops at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. One of them is the MateBook 14.

Premium laptop with super fast charging

The Huawei MateBook 14 features a premium metal clad body and a gorgeous overall design. As the name suggests, the laptop sports a a 14-inch big IPS FullView touchscreen with a crisp 2K+ 2160 x 1440 resolution.

The laptop is powered by up to Intel Core i7 8565U processor and the new NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU.

The laptop also comes with up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, and a 57.4WHr battery with 65W power adapter. Huawei claimed that 15 minutes of charge can give up to 3 hours of regular productivity from the laptop.

MateBook 14 also goes with a fingerprint power button, Dolby Atmos audio, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth, 1x USB-A 2.0, 1x USB-A 3.0, 1x USB-C, and 1x HDMI port.

The laptop also comes with support for Amazon Alexa and Microsoft Cortana digital voice assistants.

It also has the Huawei Share 3.0 OneHop solution that uses NFC for file transfers.

The laptop comes with Windows 10 Home OS out of the box. You can get it in mystic silver and space gray color options.

Price and availability

Huawei MateBook 14 will sell at EUR 1,199 (around PHP 70K) for the i5 model and EUR 1,499 (PHP 88.3K) for the i7 variant.

It will go on sale starting April in some parts of the world. There's no word when if it will be available in PH.
