During the presentation, Huawei said that the Mate X will have four cameras. But, the demo unit presented only has three. They did not disclose the camera specs but the Leica branding is still present so we can expect similar flagship photography performance from Huawei's previous releases.

It is also a 5G-ready device with modem designed after Huawei's 5G modem, Baolong 5000. It has a 4,500mAh battery that can be charged through the USB Type-C port found at the bottom of the device.

Charging is expected to be quick as it supports 55W SuperCharge. The fingerprint scanner is found on the side and it doubles as the power button as well.

Price and availability

Huawei Mate X is expected to be available in mid 2019 for EUR 2,299 (around PHP 135K). It only has one color as of now with interstellar blue.
