Qualcomm X55 5G is based on 7nm single chip integrated 5G to a 2G multi-mode modem that supports 5G NR mmWave and sub-6GHz specturm bands. It features up to 7 Gbps download speeds and 3 Gbps upload speeds. In comparison, Cat 22 LTE has up to 2.5 Gbps download speeds.

X55 also comes with support for sub-6 GHz designed for power-efficient connectivity for the next generation of smartphones and mobile devices.

The new Snapdragon X55 modem is designed tor global 5G roll out with support for all major frequency bands. It has support for dynamic spectrum sharing between 4G and 5G.

This tech will allow existing 5G spectrum holdings to deliver both 4G and 5G services dynamically. It could accelerate the deployment of 5G. It also has support for high-power fixed wireless access (FWA) services and equipment.
