The partnership between HMD Global and Light was not exclusive, reports said. So, should we expect a multi-camera device from the Chinese firm?

Under their partnership, Xiaomi and Light would focus on developing smartphone cameras based on computational photography.

Both Xiaomi and Light have yet to release or hint about future designs, but, according to GSMarena, they might use Sony sensors and feature 4+ cameras.

This came after Light tapped Sony for IMX sensors in upcoming multi-camera setups.

On another development, since Xiaomi has yet to cement its position in the US market, it targets to focus more on Europe.

The company eyes to triple its stores in Europe from 50 to 150 branches by end-2019, its vice president Wang Xiang said.

The Chinese vendor has witnessed growth in the Europe market, not just in the mid-range and low-end segment, but also in the high-end territory.

Are you guys excited?
