Canon EOS RP Full Frame Mirrorless camera, now available in the PH!

Canon has just made the EOS-RP, affordable full-frame mirrorless camera available in the Philippines. Price starts at just PHP 89,998 with pre-order bonuses.

Canon Marketing Philippines has just officially announced the arrival of the second camera from their revolutionary Full-Frame mirrorless line of cameras, the EOS-RP!

It serves as a more affordable option to the bigger EOS-R that was released late last year. It features a 27MP full frame CMOS sensor with the Digic8 processor with an ISO range of 100-40000 (expandable to 50-102400).

Tripod screw mount, battery and SD card hatch!

It comes with Canon's Dual Pixel autofocus with 4779 autofocus points that uses Contrast Detect and Phase Detect systems that allow for tracking, single-point, continuous, Face Detection and Live View.

It is on the new RF mount that uses Canon's new line of EOS-R lenses or Canon's wide list of EF lenses with an adapter. 

There is a 3-inch 1.04M dots fully articulated touch display with over and 2.36M dot Electronic viewfinder with a 0.7x magnification.

The mechanical shutter can shoot from 30 seconds up to 1/4000 sec that results in up to 5 frames per second bursts. It also supports Multi, center-weighted, spot and partial metering modes.

For video, it can record at 3840 x 2160 at 24fps at 120Mbps, 1920 x 1080 at 25fps, 30fps, 50fps and 60fps.

There is a built-in stereo microphone with a mono speaker and it supports UHS-II compatible SD cards on its single SD card slot.

USB Type-C and other ports!

There is a USB-C port that uses the USB 2.0 standard that allows for USB charging.

It supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity with the Camera Connect app!

The camera weighs in at 485 grams with the LP-E17 battery inside. This battery is rated for 250 shots.

Price and availability

The Canon EOS-RP is now available for pre-order at all Canon authorized dealers nationwide.

The EOS-RP body starts at PHP 89,998 but if you want to get it with the RF 24-105 F4 kit lens, it will set you back PHP 156,998.
