The winners of #TheMainEvent challenge

TikTok, a short-form mobile video platform, announced the winners of its recently concluded #TheMainEvent in-app challenge by bringing together their newest batch of online superstars. The event was also graced with their biggest star, Maine Mendoza.

#TheMainEvent in-app challenge that was held from January 25 to February 5 is the 2019 edition of TikTok's 1 Million Audition campaign. This campaign's aim is to find the next creators that deserve the limelight in the Philippines.

The grand winner of the challenge is Saira Datinguinoo. For the comedy category, the three stand-outs are Yanyan de Jesus, McLion Cross, Jae-Hwa, for the talent category its EJ Nueda and for fashion its Issey Miyake Parto.

During the event, Maine Mendoza delivered a special performance and also offered some tips creating bite-sized videos that leave a mark. There were also exclusive media workshop held earlier in the day that was attended by TikTok creators Jiro Morato, Alex Louisse and Issey. These creators also shared their TikTok tips and tricks to help aspiring creators like them.
