A Globe representative confirmed that the telco's mobile wallet GCash was removed from the Google Play Store.

As of 3:55PM, the app could still not be searched on the official app store for the Android operating system.
But Globe said GCash has already informed the US-based technology company about the situation, and is now coordinating with Google.
While the GCash app is not yet back on Google Play Store, it remains available at Apple's App Store.

GCash offers services from paying for items and sending money online, or purchasing from a wide array of stores using the quick response technology using smartphones. It has also equipped the platform with other services like GCash Investment money, allowing users to save and earn money.
Mynt, the financial technology arm of Globe Telecom, Ant Financial, and Ayala Corp., operates GCash.
