Right on schedule, Samsung released the Galaxy A80 in an event in Bangkok, Thailand, a premium mid-range phone with a twist.

With a twist, literally!

It's the world's first Samsung phone with a rotating pop-up camera system and a true full screen design which reminds us of the OPPO Find X.

Samsung Galaxy A80 highlights a 6.7-inch 20:9 AMOLED panel with FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution. Inside, it run with the new SM7150 chip from Qualcomm also known as the 8nm Snapdragon 730 processor.

The pop-up mechanism carries the rotating triple-camera setup. 48MP f/2.0 + 8MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens + 3D depth sensor w/ AF and LED flash. The 3rd lens offers Live Focus to not only photos but also videos by scanning objects for measurement and depth.

It also comes with the Super Steady video mode to reduce shake while taking videos. As expected, it comes with AI Scene Optimizer that can recognize and enhance up to 30 scenes.

Price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A80 will be available in the Philippines this June 2019. There's no word on its official SRP yet. We hope that they will price it right. Maybe in the PHP 30K range?
