Samsung to join the camera super zoom party soon
Samsung might soon follow the super zoom camera trend started by Huawei's amazing P30 Pro with periscope lens.

Samsung super zoom!
Samsung Electro-Mechanics (SEM) has begun the mass production of a new 5x optical zoom module. It is just 5mm slim in profile so the sensor won't protrude at the back of the phone. In comparison, Samsung's previous modules are 6mm thick.
Similar with the Huawei P30 Pro, the new 5x zoom sensor uses a light refracting prism. But it is a rectangular lens instead on a circular one. Reports said that the module will be stacked vertically which should help keep the thickness down.

Samsung also showed sample shots in its 2x and 5x zoom modes. Most likely, it can do hybrid 10x zooms as well. We are just unsure if it has the 50x digital zoom of P30 Pro or the 60x digital zoom of OPPO Reno.
Based on rumors, we can expect to see it in the upcoming Note flagship phone.
