Google location history now has auto-delete
First announced in May 2019, this long awaited feature is now rolling out.
A compromise for both Google and its users, activity and location data will still be to collect ed but will be automatically deleted within three to eighteen months. For those who have privacy concerns, you now have an option for automated clearing of your data. Unlike before where Google collects data and keeps them until you manually deletes it.

For those who have privacy concerns, you now have an option for automated clearing of your data. Unlike before where Google collects data and keeps them until you manually deletes it.
Do not panic if you do not see this new feature right away as it will take a few weeks before a new update like this reaches every device. Once you get the update though, you can access it by going to you Google Account's My Activity section and tap "Choose to delete automatically" option in the Location History category. You can choose between 3 or 18 months and that's it.
