LG and Amazon is working on a new phone called the W in India. It appears that it will come with a different approach to gain momentum in the world's second largest smartphone market.

Based on Amazon India's LG W series landing page. The W series means "FOR THE WIN". LG also said that "Wait for it, it will be worth the wait".

In addition, they said the it will feature a "Pocket-Worthy Price Tag". LG also noted that it will "WOW Never before Prices".

LG teased that it the W phone will feature a full screen display customizable notch from U, V, and no notch forms. It will also come with a triple-camera setup with wide-angle mode, night mode, and portrait mode.


Lastly, it will feature 3 "futuristic" green, black, and blue color options.

Smartprix also leaked some of the key specs of the phone. It will feature a 12nm 2.0GHz octa-core processor. It could be the MediaTek Helio P60 chip. There's a possibility that it might be the Snapdragon 439 as well.

The phone is also expected to feature a 4,000mAh battery and Android Pie OS out of the box.

Based on LG's marketing materials, it could be their new line of phones designed to combat Redmi and realme's value-packed phones.

To recall, Xiaomi/Redmi is the number 1 phone maker in India. In just a year, realme is now the number 4 player in the region.

Most likely, LG wants to replicated the successes of those two brands in India.

There's no word regarding the date of availability and official price yet.
