ASUS unveils VivoBook X403 and X412 in PH

We were able to get our hands on the two of ASUS' latest VivoBooks, the X403 and X412.

Affordable ultraportables?

The ASUS VivoBook X403 and X412 are the latest addition to the company's line of ultrabooks. These are being placed as the bang-for-buck units because of what it has to offer considered its price.

To start off, the VivoBook X403 is a lightweight machine weighing only 1.3kg. This model comes with an aluminum body with military-grade durability and boasts of a 24-hour rated battery life. It features 14-inch FHD NanoEdge screen with an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio. 

ASUS VivoBook X403 is powered with 8th-gen Intel Core i3 processor, HD Graphics 620 integrated GPU, 4GB RAM, and 512GB SSD. Its wealth of ports include charging port, HDMI, USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB-C, combo headphone jack, and SD card slot. The indicator lights are located on the left side, while the stereo speakers are on the bottom.

It has a built-in 4-cell 72wH lithium polymer battery, it is considered as a large battery capacity for a 14-inch laptop. Other key features of the VivoBook X403 include a fingerprint scanner, Windows Hello, glass trackpad with support for touch gestures, and backlit keyboard.

Lightweight, easy to carry

On the other hand, the ASUS VivoBook X412 is made of a polycarbonate body. It kept the 14-inch display similar with its predecessor model. It will come in four variants, the most affordable comes with an Intel Core i3 processor, MX 130 GPU, 4GB RAM, a 256 GB SSD, and an HD display. Meanwhile, the highest end model comes with an i7 CPU, 512GB SSD, and a Full HD display.

It is packed with a 2-cell, 37wH lithium polymer battery that can last for up to 10 hours on a single charge.

The ASUS VivoBook X403 and X412 are now available in ASUS concept stores and partner retailers. The VivoBook X403 retails at PHP 39,995. Meanwhile, the VivoBoo X412 which has four variants have the following SRPs:

• Core i3-8145U/14-inch HD/4GB RAM/256GB SSD/MX230 – PHP 32,995
• Core i5-8265U/14-inch Full HD/4GB RAM/512GB SSD/MX250 – PHP 42,995
• Core i7-8565U/14-inch Full HD/4GB RAM/128GB SSD+1TB HDD/MX250 – PHP 49,995
• Core i7-8565U/14-inch Full HD/4GB RAM/512GB SSD/MX250 – PHP 51,995
