Huawei releases Y9 Prime 2019 in the Philippines, the most affordable pop-up camera phone yet!

Huawei has announced the Y9 Prime 2019 with full-screen display and pop-up front-facing cameras in the Philippines! Price starts at PHP 12,990.

Pop-up selfie camera prices are going down!

Announced earlier this year, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features a premium polycarbonate and glasstic design that makes it on par in terms of looks to higher priced phones.

In front is a large 6.59-inch 2.5D curved FHD IPS display that is powered by the updated Kirin 710F octa-core processor with the Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If you need more space, it is expandable via microSD up to 400GB.

At the back is a triple rear camera set up of a 16MP f/1.8 main camera, 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera is hidden with a pop-up camera mechanism.

It is powered by a large 4000mAh battery that charges via USB Type-C and Huawei's 10W charger. It is running on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top and it comes in black, blue and purple.

It is one of the few phones in its price range and comparable specs with full-screen design without a notch, with triple rear cameras, with a pop-up selfie camera, and with USB Type-C. So it may not win in raw performance, but it makes up for it in a number of features and value for money.

The new Y9 Prime from Huawei is priced at PHP 12,990 and will be available July 13 at all Huawei concept stores and authorized distributors nationwide.

For those who pre-order on July 5 onwards, they will receive a Bluetooth speaker worth PHP 1,790.
