Why OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is a great all-around flagship too?
OPPO Philippines recently made the Reno 10x Zoom available in the county. It's the company's first high-end phone of 2019 packed with an innovative periscope 10x lossless telephoto lens.
As its name suggests, OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is a phone that can really zoom. In fact, it goes with up to 10x lossless zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. Obviously, its 60x digital zoom is more than the 50x digital zoom of P30 Pro, its major competitor from Huawei.
But for us, this handset is more than just the zoom. Allow us to point all the other things that make it a value-packed flagship at PHP 45,990.
OPPO made sure that the Reno 10x Zoom will come with great looks aside from its high-end specs. It is a phone that uses all-premium materials from the backplate, to the frame, and the display.
At the back, it goes with 3D curved glass materials with a matte-like finish and stunning colors in ocean green and jet black. It is smudge-resistant and comfortable to hold.
Despite its large camera modules for a phone, OPPO managed to make its back surface flat. It means that it doesn't have protruded cameras.
There's just an O-Dot green dot-like tiny hump to prevent the camera lenses from hitting the surface where the phone is lying its back on. Clever!
By the way, the glass at the back is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Meanwhile, the glass in front is protected by Gorilla Glass 6.
In front, it has a large 19:5:9 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with an In-Display fingerprint reader and super slim bezels. In fact, it highlights a HUGE 93.1 percent of screen-to-body ratio for more screen real estate and more immersive viewing experience.
It also allowed the phone to be smaller and slimmer for its display size.
And of course, it is the first phone in the world with a shark fin-like pop-up design that houses the earpiece, selfie camera and the rear-facing LED flash. It's a unique and refreshing take versus the sea of similar-looking pop-up camera designs from other brands.
Like what we mentioned before, it has better structural integrity than the Find X. Its "fin" is also protected by a fall detection safety measure that automatically folds the fin inward when the phone detects that it is falling.
It can take images with great dynamic range, natural-looking colors, and plenty of details in most conditions. There are very few times where it'll fail. It even has an outstanding Dazzle Color and Night Mode to make your shots look better depending on the situation.
For selfies, Reno 10x Zoom goes with a 16MP f/2.0 shooter with AI and LED flash.
To be honest, it even has a more powerful 7nm 2.84GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 855 AIE octa-core processor versus the 2.7GHz 64-bit Exynos 9820 octa-core processor w/ NPU of Samsung's flagship.
This phone is even paired with Adreno 640 gaming GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS 2.1 storage, and 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 flash charge solution.
There's Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos, triple-mic with long-range Audio Focus, 700MHz 4G LTE as well.
