Counterpoint Research has just revealed its latest data regarding the global smartphone market share for Q2 2019.

It showed that there's a 1 percent decline in the overall smartphone shipment in Q2 2019 and a 9 percent drop YoY, but Chinese brands like OPPO, Vivo, Xiaomi, and realme reached their highest level yet.

It showed that Huawei's growth is up by 4.6 percent YoY despite the US trade ban attack, Xiaomi by 0.9 percent, Vivo by 2.1 percent, and realme by 848 percent.

HMD Global also had a pretty successful year with 20 percent YoY growth, but realme's 848 percent is insane.

Realme's ultra-strong numbers propelled it to the top 10 of the global smartphone market share, the fastest to do it. How fast? Realme did it in just a year, the fastest in smartphone history. Yes, realme is a 1-year old company.

To recall, realme is also the fifth best-selling mobile phone brand in India for three consecutive quarters.

Realme's success is due to the company's aggressive approach in offering bang-for-the-buck phones like the realme 3 and realme 3 Pro.
