After confirming details about the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the company has now confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 will also pack quad rear cameras. There were assumptions that the Redmi Note 8 will have 64MP for its main camera like the Note 8 Pro but they seem to have different designs. The Note 8 is expected to have its camera module on the left side of the phone while the Note 8 Pro camera will be placed on the center part.

According to the source, Note 8 will include a 48MP sensor, a wide-angle lens, and a macro lens camera, and a depth-of-field sensor. It is still unclear which sensor this 48MP sensor is, but the update will be soon provided. Xiaomi posted two samples of low-light pictures captured on the Redmi Note 8 that looks similar to the Redmi Note 7 series. It is said to utilize our-in-one pixel binning to make a 12MP image with 1.6μm pixel for night mode shots.

For the processor, this smartphone will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC that can be found on other new Xiaomi devices like the Mi A3. This SoC is an upgrade over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Redmi Note 7 features, bringing along advantages like lower battery consumption, Vulkan 1.1 API support, and a third-gen AI engine with the Hexagon 686 DSP.

Redmi Note 8 is included in Xiaomi's big launch in China on August 29, 2019.
