Porsche Design Huawei Mate 30 RS is the ultimate premium phone

At the Mate 30 launch event last night, Huawei also unveiled its newest handset in collaboration with Porsche Design, Mate 30 RS.

Huawei's ultra-premium phone

As expected, it screams PREMIUM everywhere. It has similar internals coming from the Mate 30 Pro 5G, but with a different design and upgrades in specs.

The handset retained the trademark Mate RS look with the premium leather exterior in red and black colorways and It also has a stunning strip of black-colored glass in the middle.

No camera bump!

It still has four cameras at the back, but Porsche Design and Huawei removed the Porsche Design and Huawei removed the "Halo Ring" camera design to remove the camera bump and make it look even more premium.

Porsche Design Huawei Mate 30 RS also has massive 12GB RAM/512GB storage instead of just 8GB and 256GB.

It also has a customized EMUI10 skin based on Android 10 to match the look and feel of the device.

The Horizon Display

The rest of the internals are the same. It still uses the 6.53-inch Horizon OLED display with an 88-degree waterfall-like curve and the notch for the 32MP selfie camera and a lot of sensors like gesture, light, proximity, and 3D depth camera.

For the cameras, it uses the ultra-wide 40MP f/1.8 RGGB CFA Cine Camera with the 1/1.54-inch sensor with 3:2 aspect ratio. It is paired with a 40MP f/1.6 RYYB CFA SuperSensing Camera with OIS, 8MP f/2.4 telephoto, and 3D Depth Sensing the fourth camera.

Inside, it runs with the beastly Kirin 990 5G 7nm+ EUV process with 10.3 billion transistors and 4,500mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge, 27W wireless charging solution, and 3rd gen reverse wireless charging tech.

As expected, any Porche Design branded device won't come cheap. Porsche Design Huawei Mate 30 RS is priced at EUR EUR 2,095 or around PHP 121K out of straight conversion.

This is the phone designed for the high-end market, not mere mortals like me.
