A better upgrade adoption rate than ever

Based on its latest blog post, Google revealed that the Android adoption rate is increasing. In fact, Android 9 Pie has the highest adoption rate in its first year at 22.6 percent of the entire Android ecosystem.

While it may still sound small, that is a huge jump compared with the adoption rate of its older version.

The company claimed that the upgrade between Oreo and Pie was cut down by 3 months and it also expects upgrades to Android 10 to be even faster.

Having said that, Google has just announced a list of devices that will receive the latest Android 10 update.

It includes the likes of Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Essential. Other manufacturers like ASUS, LG, Motorola, OPPO, Realme, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Transsion, and Vivo ave committed to updating some of their devices to Android 10 by the end of the year.

Google also expects more makers to shop Android 10 soon.

Samsung, the world's largest mobile maker, also announced an open beta for Android 10 on their devices and started the rollout on October 12th, faster than the November 15th date last year.

Huawei was not mentioned because of the restrictions from the US government. But recently, the world's number 2 mobile phone maker announced that 33 more Huawei devices will get EMUI10, an Android 10-based skin.
