Smart launches Smart WeChat Go Philippines

Smart and WeChat teamed up to launch the Smart WeChat Go Philippines campaign which lets Chinese tourists experience the Philippines with ease and convenience.

WeChat Go is a program that aims to serve millions of Chinese tourists as they travel around the globe. It lets travelers use the app not only for online messaging but for other travel essentials such as mobile payment, coupons, tourist information, hotel, restaurant, and airline reservations, as well as travel insurance.

As it now expands to the Philippines, Smart introduces its own WeChat Go SIM which aims to serve the growing number of Chinese travelers. With half a million Chinese visitors traveling in the country, Smart aims to deliver FREE WeChat access, up to 4GB of mobile data, and up to 30 minutes of international calls to mainland China. Inclusions depend on the SIM package availed.

Smart WeChat Go users can also top-up exclusive data packages through the Smart Mini Program within WeChat. Smart WeChat Go SIM features Chinese-language UI and secure payments via WeChat Wallets.

Smart WeChat Go packages:

• Package A (PHP 225) - Daily Access to WeChat, 15 minutes of international calls to China, and 2GB of open access data valid for 5 days
• Package B (PHP 345) - Daily Access to WeChat, 30 minutes of international call to China, and 4GB of open access data valid for 8days
