BlizzCon 2019 melts the gaming blizzard with new game announcements

Happening from November 2 to 3, 2019, BlizzCon gathers gamers to interact with the minds behind Blizzard games. It also serves as Blizzard's platform for announcing all the upcoming games and updates they have in store for gaming fans.

This year they’re taking the anticipation a notch higher with several announcements including Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV.

Overwatch

Overwatch a team-based first-person shooter game released in 2016. It has amassed a huge following for its exciting gameplay and interesting characters with backstories easy to fall in love with. Picking up on this success, the new Overwatch retains the competitive 6 vs 6 multiplayer experience but is said to be more thrilling with new playable heroes like Sojourn, new skins and looks for existing characters, new maps, and additional game modes such as PvE (player versus environment). For players of the first Overwatch, Blizzard said that unlocked skins will be transferred to the sequel much to the delight of players.

Diablo IV

Diablo is an Action RPG hack and slashes released in 1996. The fourth installment of the game, set to be made available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One soon, is promised to be bigger with a larger game world to navigate. Game modes such as solo and cooperative campaigns are made more dark and gory as a way of staying true to the series. Blizzard also announced the first three classes including Barbarian, sorceress, and druid in a gameplay trailer

Other announcements

At the ongoing BlizzCon, Blizzard also apologized for the Hearthstone controversy as a precursor to announcements such as the World of Warcraft Shadowlands and Hearthstone Descent of Dragons expansions.

More announcements await gamers at the ongoing BlizzCon 2019.
