LG announces new commercial air conditioners and cassettes in the Philippines

LG Electronics just unveiled its 2020 lineup in the Philippines which consists of single commercial air conditioners (CAC), Dual Vane Cassette, and Round Cassette.

Since the climate here in the Philippines is generally hot and humid, air conditioners are part of Filipinos daily life. But some households cannot afford to have regular air-conditioning since the price of electricity is quite high here, compared to other countries. 

With this issue in mind, LG claims to use innovative technology for the high-efficiency and cost-effectiveness of its single CACs. This new line up is suitable for small businesses like restaurants, stores, and medium-sized offices.  

It consists of Floor Standing, the Ceiling Mounted Cassette, the 1 Way Ceiling Cassette, the Ceiling Suspended, and the Ceiling Concealed Duct. The said products are engineered with LG’s revolutionary R1 CompressorTM and Smart Inverter to achieve high-efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 

With the LG Smart Inverter, it was assumed that electricity consumption will go down by 25 percent yearly compared to the traditional model. Aside from that, this feature enables airflow to cool even in a long distance.

This roster of commercial air conditioners is also geared with an LG-exclusive R1 Compressor with a shaft-through bottom compression structure. According to the electronic company, the R1 Compressor has fixed the issue of low efficiency in the widely used rotary compressor. Additionally, this improves the tiling motion of scroll, lowering the noise to 4dB and reducing its weight by 20 percent.

Moreover, the products feature a five-step air cleaning to lessen maintenance costs for uncomplicated upkeep. As for the performance of CACs, they can operate as low as 15 degrees Celsius and as high as 48 degrees Celsius for outdoor.

Dual Vane Cassette and Round Cassettes for airflow improvement

After releasing the single CAC lineup, LG announced the Dual Vane Cassette, an upgraded version of the 4 Way Ceiling Cassette, and the Round Cassette. 

The Dual Vane Cassete is designed with innovative dual vane technology to manage airflow more precisely and provides optimized airflow for users. It has a total of eight vanes while a conventional Ceiling Cassette only has four.

Aside from that, the Dual Vane Cassette is said to allow users to choose six different modes, including three patented ones. 

As for the Round Cassette, this is claimed to deliver excellent circular airflow without any blind spot. This is claimed to be done by minimizing junctions while a conventional round cassette has three outlets to provide three-way airflow with blind spots. 

Furthermore, this is equipped with crystal vanes, allowing the user to control the direction in six steps.

No news yet about the pricing of the LG CACs, Dual Vane Cassette, and Round Cassette.  The LG CACs will be available by 2020, then both Dual Vane Cassette and Round Cassette will come here by the second quarter next year. Stay tuned for more updates.
