TCL PLEX arrives in PH with a BANG, NXTVISION screen, SD675, 48MP Sony triple-cam for PHP 15,990!

Right on schedule, TCL launched the PLEX in the Philippines, the company's very first smartphone and it arrived with a very competitive price for the specs.

Not a TV, but a phone with a great display

Priced at PHP 15,990, TCL PLEX highlights a 3D holographic glass back design in Obsidian Black and Opal White colorways and a large 19:5:9 6.53-inch display with FHD+ resolution, NXTVISION technology, the "Dotch" punch-hole to house the selfie camera, and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.

To recall, TCL boasts that it has an HDR-like screen. The company said that it has a specialized screen intensified with a 6-axis color enhancement for radiant images.

Under the hood, it is quite powerful for the price. In fact, it is one of the most affordable with the 11nm 2.0GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor and Adreno 612 GPU that should make it quite good for gaming.

It is paired with 6GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and 3,820mAh battery with USB-C Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support.

48MP triple-cam

For the cameras, it uses a 48MP f/1.8 Sony IMX586 main + 16MP f/2.4 ultra-wide + 2MP low light sensor for a total of 3 sensors at the back. For selfies, it has a 24MP f/2.0 OV24B front camera.

The handset also has a programmable Smart Key for single, double or long-press action.

As expected, it goes with the T-Cast app designed to control TCL-branded smart TVs.

The handset also features a fingerprint scanner at the back, 4G LTE, and Android 9.0 Pie OS.

It even has a Super Bluetooth tech where you can connect up to 4 devices at the same time.

Meaning, you can connect 4 wireless earphones or 4 speakers simultaneously.
