The Threadripper 3990X now has an official date of availability as well as price. It has 64 cores with 128 threads. It has a base clock of 2.9GHz and a boost clock of 4.3GHz as well as 288MB of L3 cache.

It is going to have a 280W TDP which is the same from the 3960X and 3970X which has 24 to 32 cores respectively. Its clock speeds are only 100MHz lower compared to the target max speeds of the 3970X. The Threadripper 3990X requires no special motherboards and is supported by the existing sTRX40 motherboards. Cooling solutions for existing Threadrippers are also still applicable as well.

The AMD Threadripper 3990X is expected to have a USD 3,990 (around PHP 203K) price tag. It is scheduled to be available starting February 7, 2020.
