During CES 2020, LG showcased a new 65-inch concept TV that can transform from flat to curved in a matter of seconds.

Before LG's concept design, you can only either by a flat-screen TV or a curved one. It has always been one or the other. Now, LG showed a 65-inch TV that can morph between the two forms with a press of a button. The transformation between the two modes only takes about 5 seconds too.

The ability to morph back and forth lends itself to the ability to have a more immersive visual and audio experience. LG see this technology used in both home entertainment and on first-class airplane flights. The company also said that the panel can switch back and forth about 35,000 times.

LG rollable OLED TV can now deploy downwards

This tech is a result of years of research. In CES 2018, LG showcased the bendable OLED display with a rollable 4K 65-inch TV. This technology also returned this year, with a rollable TV that can be deployed downwards like a movie projection screen. The rollable TV is scheduled for a Q3 or Q4 release with an expected price tag of USD 60,000.
