Expect better service from Globe this year!

Designed to meet its customers' growing demand for data, the company committed to spending the said amount this year.

Back in 2019, Globe spent 34.2 percent of its revenues to improve its internet services and fulfill its
commitment to provide two million homes with at least 10 Mbps connectivity by the end of 2020.

Globe said that it has increased cell site deployment. It is up to 139 percent versus 2018. The company also increased its numbers of Base Stations to 69 percent compared to 2018.

According to Globe, the company's 4G LTE coverage is already available at almost 93 percent of cities and municipalities all over the Philippines.

Digital 2020: Global Digital Overview made by We Are Social reported that the Philippines has an average fixed broadband speed of 25.6 Mbps. That's a major step-up versus the 5.5 Mbps reported by Akamai Technologies in Q1 2017.

In 2020, Globe also said that it will transform major CBDs to 5G mobile sites.

In our previous report, the company said that 5G has faster deployment by 8 months versus 4G.

5G is designed to be way faster than 4G. It will power the Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent homes, make internet speedier for enhanced entertainment, gaming, security systems, and more in the near future.
