Opened in December 2019, Xiaomi's Wuhan headquarters was forced to shut down on January 20, 2020, after several confirmed cases were reported. Employees were forced to take a vacation to set-up an epidemic control and prevention team.

On March 30, Xiaomi officially resumes the operations of its Wuhan Headquarters. The first batch of employees who are returning to work was given 'anti-epidemic care packages' that include masks, alcohol, hand sanitizers, and a start-up red envelope.

The company is also implementing a stricter epidemic prevention and control procedures like double masks, double temperature measurements and a different meal system to continue the fight against COVID-19.

The Wuhan Headquarters covers nearly 52,000 square meters with over 9 floors and a capacity of up to 3000 employees.
