Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G with periscope camera now official in China!

Xiaomi has just announced the Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G with AMOLED display, Snapdragon 765G, and 48MP quad-rear camera with a periscope in China.

Periscope for cheap?

In February 2020, Xiaomi announced the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in China. Fast forward in April of the same year, Xiaomi has announced the Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G for the Chinese market.

It features a massive Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protected 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, HDR10+ support, and 180Hz touch response rate. Under the display is the In-Display fingerprint scanner.

Inside the device are the 5G capable Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor, Adreno 620 GPU, 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB UFS 2.1 storage, and 4,160mAh battery with 22.5W fast charger included in the box.

At the back of the device are a quad-camera set-up made up of a 48MP f/1.79 main camera, 8MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide camera, an 8MP 5x optical zoom periscope camera with 50x digital zoom, and a 2MP macro camera. The set-up can shoot up to 4K at 30 fps.

Hidden on the notch of the display is the 16MP front-facing camera.

It includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, IR blaster, and GPS.

The Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G will be available for purchase in China on April 30, 2020.

6GB/64GB: CNY 2,099 or around PHP 15K

6GB/128GB: CNY 2,299 or around PHP 16.5K

8GB/128GB: CNY 2,499 or around PHP 18K

8GB/256GB: CNY 2,799 or around PHP 20K

There is no word yet when it will be available in the Philippines nor is there information on PH pricing.
