5 best features of Redmi Note 9S
|
Real glass |
1. Premium design - Unlike most similarly priced handsets with a generic design and gradient colors, the Redmi Note 9S sports a unique back design with a high-gloss finish in Interstellar Black, Aurora Blue, and Glacier White. It also has a square camera hump, side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a punch-hole in the upper-middle portion of the 6.67-inch FHD+ display ala Samsung high-end phones. This is a neater implementation versus older-gen notch screens.
Moreover, it comes with premium materials. Both the front and back of the device is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 technology. It even has some sort of water splash resistance.

Good AnTuTu score |
2. Powerful specs in its class - This device goes with the new 8nm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz paired with Adreno 618 GPU. SD720G is the upgrade of the SD712. Early benchmarks are showing that it is a bit faster and nearly as good as the Snapdragon 730G.
Xiaomi paired it with up to 6GB LPDRR4X RAM, up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, dedicated microSD slot up to 256GB, and large 5,020mAh battery capacity with USB-C 18W fast charging.
This means that this phone is fast enough for mobile gamers on a budget and it can last quite long because of large battery capacity.

Quad-cam goodness |
3. Capable cameras - The Redmi Note 9S boasts a quad-camera setup. It uses a 48MP f/1.79 Samsung GM2 sensor with PDAF focus and EIS, 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, 5MP f/2.4 2c macro, and 2MP f/2.4 depth. It also has a dual-tone LED flash.
It has some of the cool modes such as the Night mode and several filters. This setup will also allow its users to shoot up to 4K 30fps videos.
In front, there's a 16MP f/2.48 shooter for selfies with the usual Beauty and Portrait modes.
What's new here is it supports up slow-mo selfies.

There is an IR Blaster on top |
4. IR Blaster - The IR Blaster is an often overlooked feature. But, it is a useful one. This will allow its users to use their phones as a remote control for Mi smart home devices and even TVs or air conditioners from other brands.
5. The price - The Redmi Note 9S is a steal for the PHP 10,490 starting based on its specs and features. In particular, it is the most affordable with a punch-hole in the middle display and Snapdragon 720G. It is also one of those rare phones with fast charging and IR Blaster at this price point.
