Get GTA 5 for FREE from the EPIC Games store until May 21

A deleted tweet from the official EPIC Games Store Twitter account confirms that Grand Theft Auto 5 Premium Edition will be free to download until May 21.

Originally released in September 2013 for the PS3 and XBOX 360, Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 5 is an open-world action-adventure game played in either first person or third person perspective where players complete missions, scenarios and objectives to progress the story. It is set in the fictional state of San Andreas, based on real-world Southern California. It then was brought to PC, PS4 and Xbox One eventually.

The legendary game earned USD 800 Million on its first day of release and then earned over a USD 1 Billion in its first three days of launch. This broke industry sales records and became the fastest-selling entertainment product in history.

At release, the game had a starting retail price of USD 60 or around PHP 3K. Now in steam, the standard version costs PHP 990.

Recently on Twitter, Steam competitor EPIC Games Store tweeted that Grand Theft Auto 5 Premium Edition for PC will be FREE to download from May 14, 2020 until May 21, 2020 in US time. The tweet was deleted and switched with the Mystery Game countdown timer.

Philippine customers of the EPIC Games Store can start downloading the game at 11PM PH time on May 14 until May 21, 2020.
