Amazon launches updated Fire HD 8 tablet trio with USB-C

Amazon has recently announced the all-new Fire HD 8 tablet trio. It includes the vanilla HD 9, HD 8 Plus, and the HD 8 Kids Edition.

The new Amazon tablets now come with faster CPUs, more RAM, and USB-C reversible charging/data ports.

As the name suggests, all 3 tablets arrived with an 8-inch screen with HD 1280 x 800 resolution. The tablets also use a new quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz which is said to be 30 percent faster than their previous tablets.

Amazon HD 8 comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB expandable storage via microSD slot.

The HD 8 Plus goes with 3GB RAM, faster 9W power adapter, and wireless charging capabilities.

The HD 8 Kids Edition is similar to the HD 8, but with a special protective case.

All 3 tablets have up to 12 hours of battery life, 2MP back and front cameras, stereo speakers, and Amazon Fire OS Android skin.

Fire HD 8 - USD 90 (around PHP 4.5K)
Fire HD 8 Plus - USD 110 (around PHP 5.5K)
Fire HD Kids Edition - USD 140 (around PHP 7K)

The Fire HD 8 starts at USD 90 (around PHP 4.5K). The HD 8 Plus retails for USD 110 (around PHP 5.5K) with 6 months of Kindle Unlimited. The Kids Edition is priced at USD 140 (around PHP 7K) with Amazon's FreeTime parental control and kids' content app.

You can now pre-order the tablets online. They will be available from June 3, 2020.
