Even the 5-year old iPhone 6s may get the iOS 14 update

According to the sources of Apple news site The Verifier, all existing iOS 13 devices will be able to update to iOS 14.

iOS 14 for the 5-year old iPhone 6s? Wow, if true!

If proven to be true, it means Apple will support iOS 13 iPhone and iPod touch devices including the 2015 iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. However, The Verifier noted that iOS 14 will be the last update for the iPhone 6s phones and the first iPhone SE powered by the same A9 chip.

Apple is expected to announce the iOS 14 on the WWDC online event that will start June 22. iOS14 is said to feature a new home screen list view, a new AR experience app, and an app snippets feature.

The Verifier accurately reported that the iPhone 5s and 6 would not get updates past iOS 12 last year.

But, let us still take this rumor with a grain of salt until anything official is announced.
