To help Filipino students in need of support for online distance learning, OPPO Philippines recently donated 100 brand new OPPO A12e smartphones and Rock Space Torch Bluetooth earphones to Save the Children's Project ARAL advocacy campaign.

OPPO donations for online distance learning

OPPO A12e is a PHP 5,990 smartphone equipped with a 6.2-inch HD+ screen, 1.8GHz SD450 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 4,230mAh battery, 13MP + 2MP cams, 8MP selfie cam, and 4G LTE connectivity.

The donated smartphones and earphones aim to help more Filipino students in the National Capital Region to enroll in online classes amid the new normal in online distance learning.

OPPO said that the smartphones and earphones are for students with families who may not be able to support their needs for the shift to online learning brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

OPPO is committed in its call to ensure education accessibility to Filipino students especially to those in need of support. We are more than happy to find ways to help more students to remain active in their studying under the new normal in online distance learning, said OPPO Philippines Marketing Director Raymond Xia. 

Apart from the phones, OPPO and Save The Children are working on a fundraising project. The partnership aims to raise the amount of 
PHP 500,000 to help provide Basic Learning Kits to more than 500 Filipino students for their upcoming online classes.

The kit will include art materials, notebooks, pencils, and other learning tools.
