The update with the number 10.1.0.142 is 593MB in size. It reads that this update improves photo quality, camera focus performance, and also optimizes and extends the battery life.

It says that the photo and camera focus performance improvements will be felt in certain situations. For battery, it optimizes power consumption in certain scenarios for extended use.

The changelog also reads that the update improves the system stability of the device. For improved security, it integrates the Android June 2020 security patch.

This is the 3rd update on the P40 Pro to improve its cameras.

In May, it received an update to improve the quality of high-resolution photos, anti-jitter improvements, and video experience enhancements.

Back in June, Huawei improved the zoom and added a Picture-in-Picture preview frame in the viewfinder when the zoom level is set to 15x or higher to help its users focus on far subjects better. The update also made its quality of colors look more natural.

To update, go to the settings of your phone and System & Updates. Then, press the update button. Make sure that you have ample battery life before making the update.
