Redmi 9i with Helio G25 SoC announced

On schedule, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi 9i.

Redmi 9i features an Aura 360-degree design with a grip-friendly texture to prevent smudges and fingerprint smudges in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colorways. It even has a P2i water splash resistance.

The phone boasts a 6.53-inch IPS screen with 1600 x 720 resolution, 20:9 screen aspect ratio, and a notch for the 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

Redmi 9i is powered by a 2.0GHz 12nm Helio G25 octa-core processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

It is paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB or 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage expandable via microSD card slot, and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging. It also has a 13MP f/2.2 aperture size and a 5MP f/2.2 shooter with face unlock.

The phone also sports a WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, 3.5mm jack, FM Radio, GPS + GLONASS, and Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 upgradable to MIUI 12.

The phone measures at 164.9 x 77.07 x 9 mm and weighs 194 grams.

The phone will be available via Flipkart and Mi stores in India starting September 18.
