DJI Pocket 2 with a bigger sensor, 8x slow-mo, and better audio recording announced

DJI earlier introduced the second-generation version of the Osmo Pocket with improved optics and audio recording capability—the Pocket 2.

Better than ever!

boasts the same compact "pocketable" camera with gimbal design for stills and videos. But, it now has a bigger and wider 1/1.7-inch camera that can shoot 16MP or 64MP photos, up 4x lossless zoom in 16MP mode, 8x zoom in 64MP mode, and panoramas with improved autofocus.

For videos, it shoots up to 4K 60fps videos with HDR. It also has up to 8x slow-mo even underwater up to 1080p, Active Track 3.0 tech to keep the subject in the frame, timelapse, hyperlapse, and motionlapse.

It even has a capability for live streaming to Facebook, YouTube, story, and RTMP.

DJI also improved its audio recording capabilities by using a total of four microphones which allows the Pocket 2 record stereo sound. It even has an audio zoom tech similar to smartphones with multiple microphones.

For accessories, it has a new charging case, wireless microphone, waterproof housing, smaller control wheel, extension rod, wide-angle lens, wireless module, and smartphone support system.

DJI also made the base removable to allow users to attach accessories like tripods and more.

DJI Pocket 2 with Mini Control Stick and the tripod mount is priced at USD 349. The Creator Combo with Mini Control Stick, tripod mount, Wide-Angle Lens, Wireless Microphone + Windscreen, Do-It-All Handle, and Micro Tripod is priced at USD 499.

It is now available in several retailers around the world starting today. But, there's no info yet regarding its Philippine release.
