On Weibo, Xiaomi earlier teased the new versions of the Redmi Note 9 Series in China.
According to the post, the Redmi device will launch on November 26, around 9 months following the launch of its early 2020 versions.
The teaser also showed the design of the device in a Purple Silver and Mint Green looking colorways. The paint finish of the Purple Silver edition is akin to several 2020 smartphones with frosted matte shine.
The striking difference versus the original Redmi Note 9 phones is the camera hump. Instead of using a square hump, the new Redmi Note 9 comes in a circular hump to house four of its camera sensors. On the side of the camera hump, there's a dual-tone LED flash.
On the right side of the phone, it has a power key that probably doubles as the fingerprint scanner.
Redmi also showed a portion of its screen suggesting slim bezels. However, we are still unsure if it'll have a punch-hole cam or what.
The specs of the phone remains a mystery. But, the vanilla version of the handset is rumored to feature MediaTek's 7nm Dimensity 800U 5G processor. The Pro model could pack the Snapdragon 750G, 120Hz screen, and a 108MP camera.
If true, this will be so much better than the current Redmi Note 9 phones.
