Globe improves mobile data in Bulacan

Citing data from Ookla, Globe said the mobile consistency score in Bulacan has been improving, from 59.43 in the third quarter to 62.23 in the last quarter of 2020.

Globe explained mobile consistency score measures the number of incidences (viewed as a percentage) of a provider's samples equal or exceeds both a download threshold of 5 megabits per second (Mbps) and an upload threshold of 1 Mbps.

Joel Agustin, Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group, in a statement said the province is one of the group's priority areas.

The Ayala-led telco has established at least 44 new towers and upgraded 729 sites in 24 cities and towns in Bulacan.

We hope our customers in the area would maximize our upgrades by using a 5G-enabled 4G LTE SIM and a 4G LTE device, Agustin said.

Globe has been urging its subscribers to embrace 4G LTE-ready SIMs to maximize the network's performance.

Globe previously said subscribers may check if they are still using 2G and 3G SIMs by texting SIM CHECK to 8080. If they want to upgrade to 4G LTE SIMs, Globe said they may set an online appointment or through the GlobeOne App before proceeding to the Globe Store for SIM replacement.
