ASUS ROG Phone 5 Audio reviewed by DxOMark ahead of launch, beats all other phones

Ahead of its official launch, DxOMark reveals that the ASUS ROG Phone 5 is the highest-scoring phone in audio yet.

Aside from smartphone cameras, DxOMark has also been testing the audio and display performances of smartphones. Recently, DxOMark revealed the audio score of the yet to announce ASUS ROG Phone 5 which was set to be officially be revealed on March 10, 2021.

In the review, DxOMark tests bot the Playback and Recording performance of the smartphone and the ROG Phone 5 scored a list topping score of 79. DxOMark says that in playback testing, the ROG Phone 5 performed well in the dynamics, spatial and artifact tests where the phone accurately produced the most spatial attributes, preserving bass precision and attack sharpness while keeping artifacts at a minimum.

On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Phone 5's performance in recording is outstanding according to DxOMark. The output has excellent tonal fidelity, realistic spatial traits, accurate envelop rendering, good maximum recording level and few noticeable artifacts. Its weakness is that it loud environments, the upper-midrange distortions are easily perceivable while the bass is lacking.

Overall, DxOMark claims that the ASUS ROG Phone 5 is the top smartphone in terms of audio and has beaten the previous champion, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro by 3 points.
