realme's ever-growing lineup of tech wearables adds the new Watch S Pro to the Philippines. It features an AMOLED touch display, 14-day battery, dual satellite GPS, 5 ATM water resistance, Blood Oxygen monitoring, and AIoT control and integration.

Box inclusions

Inside the rectangular yellow box, you'll find the user manual, the charging cradle with a USB Type-A cable, then the realme Watch S Pro itself. 

In terms of build material, the smartwatch is housed in an elegant stainless steel case that is sturdier, heftier and smaller than the realme Watch S.

Elegant stainless steel case!

It feels a cut above more premium than the realme Watch S too. Because of the glossy black paint, it can be a fingerprint smudge magnet but under the right light, the watch glimmers in elegance. The curves and chamfer make it stand out.

Left and right sides

On the left side is a smooth surface while on the right side are two button pushers. The upper pusher mainly works as a "back" button while the bottom pusher is for quick access to the different exercise modes.

The strap lugs are just as solid as the body and can fit any standard 22mm strap.

In front is the 1.39-inch AMOLED Touch display with Gorilla Glass protection. Around the display is the functional bezel with 60-minute digits. This display brightness can be set to auto or any of the five brightness levels. At brightness level 5, the screen is bright enough to be easily readable even under direct sunlight.

The AMOLED screen has a resolution of 454 x 454 and a PPI of  326 which produces images that are vibrant, crisp, and detailed. It is also a touch screen that is responsive and accurate. We never experienced any misreading of our taps or gestures.

At the bottom are the regulatory information, sensors, and CPU contacts (for charging cradle).

realme Link app

To use the realme Watch S Pro, users must download and install the realme Link app from the Google Play Store. This means that it can work with smartphones from the competition as long as they are running on Android 5+ or later.

Upon starting up the Watch, it will ask you to pair using the realme Link app with a unique QR code and then pair with Bluetooth 5.0.

Once set-up, users can control, monitor, and track their activities with the Watch S Pro. Users can even use the watch as a stopwatch or as a multimedia or camera app remote.

Users can also customize the apps and the look of the watch faces. 

Inside is a massive 420mAh battery that realme claims can reach 14-days. We've had the realme Watch for over 12 days.

It could reach the advertised 14-day battery life or even exceed it!

We charged it to full charge on our first day and we haven't charged the Watch since. The Watch S Pro was always connected via Bluetooth to our smartphone and on day 12, we have 17 percent of battery capacity left. 

Apps

Users can choose which apps will be allowed to push notifications to the watch. Our favorites include Messenger, Gmail, Viber, and the like. The Watch will play a tone and will vibrate. There are three vibration intensities, low, medium, and high.

For the workout modes, there's plenty of variation to choose from such as Indoor/Outdoor running/walking, Outdoor Cycling, Spinning, Strength Training, Strength training, Yoga, and many more. This makes it versatile and can work to many popular sports and workouts.

realme Link sleep and exercise monitoring

We tried the realme Watch S Pro for walking and indoor running (treadmill) and it managed to track our heart rate, calories burnt, duration, speed and distance.

Another handy feature in this wearable is the SpO2 (Blood Oxygen). It measures the Blood Oxygen levels but requires the user to have their hand stay still for the duration of the measurement.

Like other smartwatches, it also monitors, tracks, and records the user's sleeping pattern and activities. It is also equipped with inactivity and Water drinking alerts to remind users to stretch out those muscles. 

We love that we are reminded to change position or to move after sitting still for an extended period as well as being reminded to rehydrate ourselves.

At PHP 8,990, the realme Watch S Pro competes with smartwatches that are double or triple its price with very little compromises. The 22mm lugs mean that you can use any standard 22mm strap that is abundant in the market to fit the user's needs.
