realme GT became a smash hit in China, records over USD 15 million sales within 10 seconds

The most affordable flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 888 SoC has just become a smash hit in China.

In a recent report, Meizu 18 series manage to sell out in 28 mins and received worth 15 million of sales which is already an impressive feat. However, realme achieved an even more impressive result.

realme manage to exceed the USD 15 million sales mark for the realme GT within 10 seconds only.

As a quick recap, the flagship smartphone got a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and has a 120Hz refresh rate, two ambient light sensors on the front and rear panels. Inside, it is powered by Qualcomm's 5nm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB or 12GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with USB-C 65W SuperDart fast charging support.

Keeping the performance in check is the stainless steel VC cooling system for better heat dissipation whenever the smartphone hits a higher temperature.

The main camera has a 64MP Sony IMX682, 8MP, and 2MP while the selfie camera uses 16MP.

realme GT also comes with game cast support that will allow its users to stream their games up to 1080p resolution at 60fps on PC.

The smartphone will run in realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

The realme GT is offered in 2 variants. The 8GB RAM and 128 storage retail for CNY 2,799 (around PHP 20.1K) while the cost of the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version is sold at CNY 3,299 (around PHP 24.7K).

There's no info if this will be released outside of China though. Don't get your hopes high as most realme phones launched in China are exclusive in the region.
