The summit was headed by Huawei's Rotating Chairman, Eric Xu. In 2020, Huawei faced a lot of challenges. The company is looking to rebuild trust and restore collaborations across the global semiconductor supply chain. This goes for the industry as a whole to get it back on track.

The resurgence of COVID-19 and geopolitical uncertainty was also stated to be some of the key factors for the ongoing challenges every organization, business, and country faces. Huawei aims to continue innovating and driving digital transformation forward for a better, fully connected, intelligent world in the future.

In 2021, Huawei plans to optimize its portfolio to boost business resilience. To do this, Huawei will strengthen its software capabilities and invest more in businesses that are less reliant on advanced process techniques. Huawei is also looking into components for intelligent vehicles.

The company is also looking to maximize 5G value and define 5.5Gwith industry partners to drive further advancement in mobile communications. It also wants to provide seamless, user-centric, intelligent experiences in different scenarios and applications. Huawei also wants to be in the frontlines of reducing energy consumption for a low-carbon world and in finding a solution for supply continuity challenges.
