Xiaomi is reportedly working on two tablets this year!

The leaker also shared speculations on what to expect with the upcoming Xiaomi tablets. First, they will come with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 4096 pressure sensitivity.

Second, the first model will carry the new 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G SoC while the other model will use the 7nm SM8150-AC which could be either Snapdragon 855+ or Snapdragon 860.

Both of those devices don't support displays above 90Hz, but they will have a Novatek display driver to probably help the tablets access high refresh rates.

Snapdragon 780 has a built-in 5G suggesting that it will be the first Mi tablet with 5G connectivity.

The Snapdragon 855+/860 variant might be similar to the POCO X3 Pro with no 5G.

There are reports indicating that its engineering model uses an 11-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution LCD.

Other than that, there's no info on the other details of the tablets.

To recap, due to the pandemic, the supposedly declining tablet market grew last year. IDC said that the tablet market's growth can be attributed to that more consumers need tablets for e-learning, business, and entertainment.

So, it is no surprise that Xiaomi is revisiting this market.
