Friends: The Reunion Special will premiere on HBO and HBO GO in the Philippines

HBO has already announced that 'Friends: The Reunion' Special will debut in the Philippines at the same time as the United States.

Filipino fans of this iconic '90s sitcom will be able to watch the much-awaited reunion of the cast. The show first aired in 1994 and it goes on until 2004, lasting a decade of popularity. 

The plot revolves around a group of people in the 20's who stick together as they face problems and success in life and love. Friend's cast is mainly composed of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.

The Reunion Episode has been in the works for a year and it got postponed due to the pandemic. But now, it’s ready to delight fans all over the world who grew up watching the show. 

The stars are going back to the sitcom's original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank. After 17 years, they will relive the show’s fan-favorite and unforgettable moments.

Just to be clear, the producers said that this reunion special is not a reboot or continuation of the show. Lisa Kudrow said in a previous interview that they will not even be in character. The event is going to be unscripted and James Corden will participate as a moderator.

Moreover, the show will be star-studded with special guests such as David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.

Friends: The Reunion was directed by Ben Winston, and executive produced by its original producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane. 

You will be able to watch it on  HBO Go on May 27 at 3:01 PM. A TV broadcast will air later on HBO the same day at 9 PM.
